Parish History
Resurrection is a personal parish of the Diocese of Helena; personal, meaning a direct appointment of the Diocesan Bishop. We were originally founded as a Newman Center to serve the Catholic Students of Montana State University, becoming a “full-service” parish in the mid 1970’s. We have over 420 registered “families” as well as offering pastoral care to the present and past students of MSU and all college-age young adults.
San Damiano CrossAttributed to Saint Francis of Assisi-this image was chosen as the model for our cross that hangs over the altar in our church.
In Bozeman's earliest days, Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist served Catholics through Holy Rosary Parish. We honor them and also the mission of St Francis of Assisi who found God in all things. Our artist is parishioner Adam Schwankl. |
